Four finishes for an engraved brass plaque
Brushed, orbital, polished or aged
Brushed brass has a directional grain. Orbital brass has a softer swirling texture with matt lacquer. Polished brass is more reflective, while aged brass has a mottled appearance in light, mid or heavy options. Compare the material samples as well as the illustrative plaque scenes.
Portrait and wording together
Each portrait design can be made in brass. Choose your photo, name and inscription, then review their position in a full layout. A longer dedication can sit beside a head portrait or beneath it. The size of the portrait and the text are balanced before the design is approved.
Backing and care
Choose A5, A4 or A3, with an optional light or dark wooden board and square or bevelled edge. Brass appearance and care depend on the finish and coating. Tell us about the display position, and follow the care instructions supplied for the finished plaque rather than use a general metal polish.
