Begin with a familiar photograph
A relaxed smile can be more meaningful than a formal portrait. If the person is in a group photograph, send the original rather than a small cropped screenshot. We can assess whether the face has enough detail and show the proposed portrait in the free sketch.
Names, dates and a dedication
Use a full name or the name they were known by. An inscription can include family relationships, a favourite saying or a longer message of remembrance. Dates are optional. You will see the line breaks, spelling and portrait placement together before making a decision.
A considered place to remember
Choose a brass or stainless steel face, with or without a wooden board. Tell us where the plaque will be displayed. If it is intended for a cemetery, shared memorial garden or public bench, confirm the site’s permission and specification requirements before committing to an order.
